These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services made available on or through https://www.myhousekeeping.in (legal name as "My Housekeeping" and the said platform used for the said “Services”). These Terms also include our privacy policy, available at https://www.myhousekeeping.in/privacy-policy (“Privacy Policy”), and any guidelines, additional, or supplemental terms, policies, and disclaimers made available or issued by us from time to time (“Supplemental Terms”). The Privacy Policy and the Supplemental Terms form an integral part of these Terms. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Supplemental Terms with respect to applicable Services, the Supplemental Terms will prevail.
By using the Services, you agree that you have read, understood, and are bound by, these Terms, as amended from time to time, and that you will comply with the requirements listed here. These Terms expressly supersede any prior written agreements with you. If you do not agree to these Terms, or comply with the requirements listed here, please do not use the Services.
1. Service Overview
myhousekeeping.in provides residential housekeeping services in Kolkata, India, including:

Floor Cleaning

Dusting of Furniture and Windows

Washing of Utensils
These services are offered only at the client’s residential property and are available through monthly subscription plans.
2. Subscription Plans & Payment Terms

Our services are available only via monthly subscription.
-
Pricing varies depending on property size (e.g., 1BHK, 2BHK, etc.).

Advance payment is mandatory at the time of booking.
-
All payments made are strictly non-refundable, including for unused services or cancellations.
-
Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.
-
No partial or pro-rated refunds are provided for mid-month discontinuation.
3. Booking and Payment

All bookings must be made in advance via our website or official contact methods.

Advance payment is mandatory at the time of booking to confirm the service.

Payments are securely processed through Razorpay, our third-party payment gateway.

We do not store your credit/debit card or banking details.
4. Payment Gateway (Razorpay)

All online payments are redirected and processed through razorpay, which complies with industry security standards (PCI-DSS).

My Housekeeping is not responsible for any errors or issues arising from Razorpay platform, but we will assist you in resolving genuine cases.
5. Refund Policy

All payments made are non-refundable, except in the rare event that:

The booking is canceled by My Housekeeping due to unavailability.

The service was not delivered at all due to an internal error or system issue.

In such cases:

Refunds (if any) will be processed within 7–10 business days through the original payment method via Razorpay.
6. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance via email or WhatsApp.

No refunds will be issued for user-initiated cancellations after payment.

Missed or unattended appointments due to customer unavailability will not be rescheduled or refunded unless prior notice was given.
7. Service Timings & Availability

Services are provided daily or as per your subscribed plan schedule.

We strive to provide uninterrupted service, but certain events may cause unavoidable delays or cancellations:

Natural disasters (e.g., floods, cyclones)

Political strikes or public unrest
-
Any other unforeseen force majeure situation

In such events, we will resume services as soon as reasonably possible. No refunds or credits will be issued for missed days caused by such interruptions.
8. Client Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:

Provide safe and respectful access to your property during service hours

Every property is unique in terms of its interior. The client is requested to provide the detailed guidance to our professionals for a personalized experience of service.

Ensure availability of water and electricity during service time

Report any dissatisfaction or issues within 24 hours for resolution

Refrain from assigning tasks beyond the subscribed scope
9. Service Limitations

Our staff performs only the tasks mentioned in the service overview

We do not offer deep cleaning, pest control, laundry, babysitting, or personal care services
-
We are not responsible for any damage resulting from existing faults in fixtures, fittings, or appliances
-
Any physical material supplied through our platform will be through our agents only and it should be checked at the time of delivery by client and can only be returned at the time of delivery. Any discrepancies will not be tolerated in any case and the said supplies cannot be returned afterwards.
10. Conduct & Safety
Our staff is professionally trained and verified. You agree to:

Treat staff with respect and dignity

Not assign tasks outside the scope of work

Not engage in unlawful, unethical, or inappropriate behavior

Client is responsible for taking proper care of their belongings and valuables like gold, cash, ornaments, expensive vase etc while the said supply of service is being made. We will not be responsible for any reimbursement of the lost items if theft is being made during such service. However, we will not tolerate such act and if proven guilty we will take proper legal action against that professional cleaner.
We reserve the right to terminate services without notice or refund if any form of misconduct is observed.
11. Liability

My Housekeeping and its staff will exercise due care, but we are not liable for accidental damage to property unless due to gross negligence.

Customers are responsible for supervising the work and securing any valuable items.
12. Privacy & Data Use
We value your privacy. All personal information collected is used solely for service delivery, communication, and internal record-keeping. For full details, refer to our [Privacy Policy].
13. Revisions to Terms
We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page, along with the effective date.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.
15. Shipping and Service Delivery
Our housekeeping service will be delivered regularly at your doorstep without absenteeism. This is subject to the terms stated in the “Service Time and Availability” section of our Terms & Conditions.

Services are currently available only within Kolkata city.

It may take minimum 2 days or maximum 7 days for delivery of kit.

We do not offer our services in other cities or internationally at this time.
16. First-Time Users – Cleaning Kit Delivery
All first-time users are required to purchase a starter cleaning kit, which will be delivered to their doorstep by a My Housekeeping representative prior to the first service session. This one-time kit ensures the service is executed with consistent, high-quality materials including mops, gloves & cleaners.
20. Service Availability Limitations

Currently, we only operate within Kolkata city limits.

We do not provide delivery or services to other cities, remote areas, or international locations.

Any service bookings made outside our serviceable region will be automatically canceled and refunded.
